Description
For many years, Carmenère was confused with Cabernet Franc. Since 2009, Carmenère Colli Berici has been recognized as a DOC. Here in San Gottardo, at 300 meters above sea level, the Carmenère grapes reach full ripeness, revealing the varietal’s most characteristic aromas.

Organoleptic Notes
With a clear garnet color, it has a dense, deep texture with a vivid finish that demonstrates its ability to evolve over the years.
Enveloping and well-structured, it surprises with its mature yet fruity aromas.
Pairings
Red meats (beef and lamb), game, cured meats, and cheeses.
Shelf life: over 10 years
Vinification
Spontaneous fermentation of the pied de cuve in steel tanks. After destemming, the grapes were inoculated with the pied de cuve and fermentation was followed by daily pumping over and punching down.
Raising, pressing, and racking into steel tanks, where the wine aged for 30 months before bottling in our cellar.
